Who we are
This website is run by Jim Dummer, a sole trader trading as With Grit Coaching ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information collected through withgritcoaching.co.uk, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for looking after it.

What information we collect
When you send us an enquiry using the contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- the fitness goal you select and anything you write in your message
- your IP address and a spam-check score from Google reCAPTCHA (see below), which are attached to the enquiry email so we can spot spam
Please only share health details in your message if you are happy for us to see them. If you do, we will only use them to understand your goals and reply to you.
When you browse the site, and only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, Google Analytics collects information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, roughly where you are (town or country level), the type of device and browser you use, and how you found the site. We also record when a contact form enquiry is sent successfully (with the goal you selected, but not your name or contact details) and which testimonial videos are played. This information does not tell us who you are.

We never sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site. They only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Mailjet delivers the contact form enquiry to our inbox.
- Google provides our email inbox (Gmail), the reCAPTCHA spam check on the contact form, Google Analytics (only if you accept cookies) and the testimonial videos (YouTube, only loaded when you press play).
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) delivers some of the code and icons the site uses, so it receives your IP address when you load a page.
- Our website hosting provider stores the site and keeps standard server logs.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the USA. Where they do, they protect it with the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as the UK-US Data Bridge or standard contractual clauses.
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We only use analytics cookies if you accept them. Everything else below is needed for the site to work securely.

Testimonial videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube may store information on your device under Google's privacy policy.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: if you don't go on to become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep what we need for as long as we're working together and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months, then deletes it automatically.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- ask us to send your information to another organisation
- withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time
To use any of these rights, email withgritcoaching@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
